A veteran criminal lawyer, Wade Russell has extensive experience in all types of criminal cases:   as an Assistant County Attorney prosecuting DWI and Assault cases; as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting every type of felony case, as well as white collar crime, motor fuels tax fraud. 


As a criminal defense attorney since 1994, Wade Russell has defended a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor charges.  He has won many cases on appeal, either as the trial lawyer who found and litigated the legal issue in court, or as the lawyer appealing the case himself. 

Board Certified in 2003, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.  Mr. Russell has a proven track record of success as a criminal defense lawyer who handles all types of cases.

White Collar Crime

Mr. Russell started out at the Travis County District Attorney’s Public Integrity/Special Crimes Unit prosecuting all types of financial crime.  He was also involved in investigating allegations against public officials.  He then moved into the Motor Fuels Tax Fraud unit prosecuting motor fuels tax fraud cases.  As a defense attorney, he has successfully defended a number of persons accused of financial crimes.
